Course Description

This three-day course provides refresher training in the principles of Bridge Resource Management (BRM), operation of the Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) and essential navigation skills to masters, chief mates and officers in charge of the navigation watch. This course uses case studies, seminar and simulator exercises to provide refresher training in situational awareness, error chains, communications and bridge team-pilot relationships. The course focuses on recent developments in the BRM field to keep the attendees current with accepted BRM practices.
