Course Description

Human error can be a major factor in maritime accidents. This five-day course is aimed at improving safety and efficiency on board as it deals with the development of human resources and managerial skills of masters, navigating officers and bridge watch-keepers. The BRM course is highly interactive, involving a number of group discussions, case studies and role play exercises using bridge simulators. Topics include situational awareness, communication skills, passage planning, bridge organization, leadership and teamwork, stress and fatigue, and relationship with pilots and crew
