Course Description

This course is designed to provide knowledge of corrective actions to be taken when recognizing and problem-solving the signs and symptoms of deteriorating function of ships’ machinery. 

Prerequisites

Candidate Document Number (CDN).

While holding at the minimum a Certificate of Competency at the 4th class Engineer level and completed a minimum of 6 months of sea service as an engineer in charge of an engineering watch or in charge of the machinery, onboard a vessel of at least 750 KW.

Must have obtained a certificate of competency at a minimum level of a Fourth-Class Engineer STCW endorsed.

Valid Government Issued Photo ID (i.e. Driver’s License, Passport or Citizenship Card)
